Privacy Policy

How Dar Sapori collects, uses and protects the personal data that trade buyers submit through the contact, quote and sample request forms on this website.

This policy explains what personal data Dar Sapori collects through this website, why it is collected, how long it is kept and what rights you have over it. The website is a business-to-business site for hotels, restaurants, cafes, caterers and other trade buyers. It does not sell to consumers and does not process payments. [TO CONFIRM: legal review of this policy under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law.]

Who is responsible for your data?

Dar Sapori [TO CONFIRM: legal entity name and trade licence number], Malaya Business Avenue, AA1, Offices 4001 and 4003, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is the controller of personal data collected through this website. Telephone +971 4 570 55 92. Privacy enquiries can be sent to the contact details on the Contact page [TO CONFIRM: dedicated privacy email address].

What data do we collect?

Data you give us through forms. When you submit a Request a Quote or Request a Sample form, we collect:

  • Company name and venue type
  • Contact name, business email address and telephone number
  • Emirate or GCC market and, for samples, a delivery address
  • Product categories of interest, estimated volumes and any message you write
  • The language in which you used the site

Data collected automatically. When you use the site, our hosting provider records standard server logs, including IP address, browser type, pages requested and the time of each request. Forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission comes from a person and not an automated script; Turnstile processes technical data about your browser and connection for that purpose. [TO CONFIRM: analytics provider, if any, and whether it uses cookies.]

We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and the site is not intended for them.

Why do we use your data?

We use the data you submit to:

  • Respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote or arrange samples
  • Contact you about the products and services you asked about
  • Set up and manage a trade account if you become a customer
  • Keep records of enquiries and correspondence for business and legal purposes
  • Protect the site against spam, abuse and security threats

We rely on the following grounds: your request, where you ask us to respond to an enquiry or send samples; our legitimate interests in running a B2B business, keeping records and securing the site; and legal obligations, where UAE law requires us to keep commercial records. We do not send marketing to contacts who have not asked for it. [TO CONFIRM: whether Dar Sapori sends newsletters or trade updates, and the consent mechanism.]

Who do we share your data with?

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site and respond to enquiries:

  • Our website hosting provider [TO CONFIRM: provider and region]
  • Resend, which delivers form submissions to our mailbox by email
  • Cloudflare, which provides the Turnstile anti-spam check
  • Our email and business software providers [TO CONFIRM: list]

These providers act on our instructions. Some are located outside the UAE, which means your data may be transferred to and stored in other countries. We take reasonable steps to ensure that such transfers are protected in line with applicable law. We may also disclose data where a court, regulator or law enforcement body lawfully requires it.

How long do we keep your data?

Enquiry data is kept for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and then for a further period for record-keeping [TO CONFIRM: retention period for enquiries, for example 24 months]. If you become a customer, account and transaction records are kept for the period required by UAE commercial and tax law [TO CONFIRM: retention period]. Server logs and anti-spam data are kept for a short period for security purposes [TO CONFIRM: log retention].

How do we protect your data?

The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are transmitted encrypted and delivered to a restricted business mailbox. Access to enquiry data is limited to the Dar Sapori staff who need it to respond. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to a B2B enquiry site.

What are your rights?

Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and other applicable laws, you may have the right to:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy
  • Ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete
  • Ask us to delete data we no longer need
  • Object to, or ask us to restrict, particular uses of your data
  • Withdraw any consent you have given
  • Complain to the relevant data protection authority

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details on the Contact page. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. [TO CONFIRM: response period and procedure.]

Cookies

The site uses only the cookies and local storage needed to function, including the language you have chosen and the Cloudflare Turnstile verification on forms. [TO CONFIRM: analytics or other cookies, and whether a cookie banner is required.]

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be posted on this page.
